All proceeds from this event will benefit Vince Papale’s charity of choice, The Andy Talley Bone Marrow Foundation (ATBMF). Founded by Villanova University’s Head Football Coach Emeritus and local native, Andy Talley, the ATBMF’s mission is simple and straightforward. Utilizing the power of collegiate athletics, they recruit college football teams nationwide to host stem cell/marrow donor registry drives on campus. In turn, they are able to add many young, healthy donors to the Be The Match Registry® year after year. To date, their ‘Get in the Game. Save a Life.’ (GITG) program, has registered over 106,000 donors! More importantly, over 600 GITG registrants have been identified as a patient’s perfect match. These 600 courageous and selfless individuals all honored their commitment to save a life and donated their stem cells or bone marrow to a patient in need. One life saved would have been enough. The ATBMF has helped saved hundreds! Thanks to the support of hundreds of college coaches nationwide, GITG has grown to become one of the best recruiters of young stem cell/marrow donors in the world!
